Use it to check the supply price and VAT before issuing a tax invoice, or to back-calculate the supply price from a VAT-inclusive total. It is also handy for freelance contracts and B2B transaction amounts.
How to use
- Choose the direction: supply price → VAT, or total → supply price.
- Enter the amount.
- The supply price, VAT (10%), and total are shown automatically.
Input Explanation
Enter the supply price or the VAT-inclusive total to use as the basis.
Calculation Basis
From the supply price: VAT = supply × 10%, total = supply × 1.1. From the total: supply = total ÷ 1.1, VAT = total − supply.
Usage Examples

- Back out VAT from a total - Split a payment total into supply price and VAT.
- Prepare a freelance quote - Add VAT to a contract amount to set the billed total.
Examples
- Supply 100,000 → VAT 10,000, total 110,000
- Total 110,000 → supply 100,000, VAT 10,000
Cautions
- Tax method and rate (e.g. 10%) vary by country and industry, so verify before filing.
- For simplified or tax-exempt businesses, the way deductions and added tax are computed may differ.
